I love throwing an annual Christmas party for friends and family. Over the years though I have realize there is no reason to make everything from scratch. I have a few simple recipes that happen to be from scratch. For the most part a lot of my Christmas party recipes are semi pre made at the grocery store. This is a great way to save time, but still look like you went to a lot of effort.

So why are these swedish meatballs easy so important in the scheme of things? Because they keep us from eating out. They can be frozen after being cooked, which saves me huge amounts of time. We make six to eight meals out of them.

Your slow cooker will even make a number of subtle flavors designed for sipping. There are sure to be a number of your favorites your slow cooker can help make. If you're a tea enthusiast you'll want to try various favorites like Cranberry Tea swedish meatballs or perhaps Spiced Citrus Tea or even Chai Tea. Plus don't overlook those all time favorites like Hot Chocolate or possibly Apple Cider.

Set up a nice buffet table near the television so everyone can eat when they want. Use crock pots if you need to keep some dishes hot. Crock pots are great for chili, stew or pulled pork for sandwiches. Swedish slow cooker meatballs are fun and easy to eat. Serve them with a box of toothpicks so your guests can serve themselves. Other simple hot dishes that you may want to make include spaghetti or lasagna. It is easy to prepare these foods ahead of time and cook them as needed. Set the pot or pan out on the table and let your guests dig in. Buffalo wings are always a popular snack and they are super simple to make ahead of time. Just reheat.

Making filling meals will cost you less in the long run than if you provide your family with food that tastes great but leaves them hungry shortly afterwards. Rice, potatoes and other starches make excellent bases for meals.

Italian flat bread was the precursor to the pizza crust prior to the tomato coming to Europe in 1522. It was baked as far back as the Romans before Christ in coals from their fires. The word comes from Latin focus which means center or fireplace (the fireplace represented the center of the home). There are just too many varieties even in Italy not to mention the rest of the world to get into variations. If you frequent many Italian restaurants I suspect that you have never had a flat bread taste similar to any other.

A cookbook can be organised to observe an event such as a wedding or anniversary. It could be made up for a focaccia bread business function or a training event. The opportunities can be many as the cookbook is custom made to suit the event.

Don't worry if you're looking for something a bit more traditional with your steakhouse menu. The second half of the menu contains all slow cooker focaccia of the tried and true steakhouse cuts of meat.

Aside from the effect on the food's taste, slow cookers are also convenient to use. You can leave it unattended as you do your other chores. Most slow cooker focaccia take about 5 to 8 hours to cook; hence, you can just put the crockpot in low setting and let it handle the cooking.

Cover the bowl and allow to sit at room temperature until the surface is dotted with bubbles and there is a sweet almost yeasty aroma- 12 to 18 hours.

Choose fresh mozzarella cheese. Most mozzarella available at the grocery store is American part-skim, primarily intended for pizza or lasagna. A much more tasty variety is mozzarella fresca, which is a whole-milk cheese, or mozzarella di bufala (buffalo mozzarella). Use these types of mozzarella sliced in salad, or as a simple snack with roma tomatoes and basil leaves on toasted rosemary crock pot bread bread.

Be creative when choosing the toppings for the following recipe (adapted for high-altitude, of course). It can be topped with any number of herbs, spices, veggies and the like. It's only limited by your imagination ... and by what you have on hand. Consider using lightly sauteed red, green or yellow peppers. How about artichoke hearts? Sun-dried or fresh tomatoes work equally well. Capers? Anchovies? Go wild!

My secret ingredient is garlic - I add at least five cloves of diced garlic to the dough before I cook it. I stole the idea from India where they use fresh garlic in their naan (Indian flat bread). In addition, I puncture the dough with my fingers to create wells that trap moisture in the bread. Don't forget to spread olive oil on top before you cook it. You can also use the wood burning grill trick I wrote about earlier to cook the flat bread. You get a superb smoke flavor.
